About Taured
Principality of Taured
The Principality of Taured was created by Charlemagne on the "Marches of Spain" about twelve hundred years ago.

However, it was with the appearance of the first Counts of Foix in 1012 that this state appeared as a principality. Gaston Phœbus and Henri IV (Lords of Foix) were valuable allies. In addition, the excellent relations with the family of the Constables of the King of Aragon favoured the stability of this territory.

Principauté de Taured
​La Principauté de Taured fut créée par Charlemagne sur les "Marches de l'Espagne" il y a environ mille deux cent ans.

C'est cependant avec l'apparition des premiers Comte de Foix en 1012 que cet état apparait en tant que principauté. Gaston Phœbus et Henri IV (Seigneurs de Foix) furent ainsi de précieux alliés. De surcroit, les excellentes relations aussi avec la famille des Connétables du Roi d'Aragon ont favorisé la stabilité de ce territoire.
